Extension Activities

  • World Environment Day 2022, June 5th – All students, teachers and other staff members planted a tree sapling at their homestead on World Environment day organized by Nature Club and IQAC
  • Rain Water harvesting and ground water recharging project by Nature Club and IQAC in collaboration with Environment Science Department, University of Kerala, Feb 2022
  • “Green the red- a seminar on sustainable menstruation” giving awareness on use of menstrual cup, organized by Nature Club, Green Protocol Monitoring Committee and IQAC on 12-10-2021
  • World Environment Day 2021 June 5th jointly organized by Nature Club, Biodiversity Club ,Bhoomithra Sena Club and IQAC. All students, teachers and other staff members planted a tree sapling at their homestead on World Environment day. Drafted and submitted  a five year  plan for the ecological restoration activities in college
  • Programme-Svasthya – Encouraging homestead garden aiming popularization of traditional food plants- Students created homestead garden growing traditional food plants  22-05-2021, by Nature club and IQAC
  • Webinar   on “Gender: Lets get sensitized” as part of   Agora International Multidisciplinary Webinar series on 29-04-2021, organized by Biochemistry Department, SN College, Kollam
  • Observed International day of Forests (Mar 21st) by initiating   Conservatory of Endemic and Endangered Lesser Known Fruit Trees of Western Ghats at Sree Narayana College  kollam in collaboration with JNTBGRI ,Palode, Thiruvananthapuram  on 20-03-2021  organized by Nature Club and IQAC
  • During the covid-19 pandemic lockdown period planted 31 fruit trees were planted in the neighbour hood  in view of increasing the nutritional as well as economic status of the state, May 2020
  • Planted Mango and Jack fruit tree sapling at S N College, Kollam campus in collaboration with NCC cadets, 04-06-2020
  • Programme- Svasthya – Encouraging homestead garden aiming popularization of traditional food plants- a programme ensuring  food security, safety and economy of the State in july 2020
