  • Mid-day daily meals to 50 student beneficiaries
  • Financial assistance to socially and economically backward students and staff to meet medical emergencies
  • Student welfare for financially weaker students
  • Construction of a home for the poor in association with NSS
  • Distribution of study materials and wheelchairs to Divyangyan students (5 Nos.)

BEST PRACTICE 2: STUDENT PALLIATIVE CARE INITIATIVE (EDAM)

  • The ‘EDAM’ is our students’ initiative to impart palliative therapy to terminally ill patients and bed-ridden people
  • Psychological counselling, recreational therapy and psychological support to patients were provided by a certified counsellor
  • 15 trained student volunteers, 77 palliative patients were targeted
  • To extend food and provision support
  • Student training on wound dressing, catheter change and administering medicines
  • Wheelchairs, medicines, health and hygiene products were distributed
