To develop qualities of character, courage, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and sportsmanship and ideals of selfless service among the youth to make them useful citizens.
To create a human resource of organized, trained and motivated youth to provide leadership in all walks of life including the Armed Forces, and be always available for the service of the nation.
To create suitable environment to motivate the youth to take up a career in the armed forces. The sub unit of the NCC Navy wing is functioning in the college. The authorized strength is 50. Enrolment of cadets in the NCC is made at the beginning of the academic year. The cadets have to undergo a minimum of four hours training a week, so as to make a total of 80 training hours a year. Training is imparted usually on Saturdays. Discharge certificates are issued to those who successfully attend not less than 75% of the training periods. B and C certificate examinations are conducted by the end of the academic year. NCC kits issued to the cadets should be returned before the month of March every year and a ‘No dues’ certificate should be obtained from the NCC officer.
NCC cadets who secure more than 75% of attendance are eligible for weightage marks for their admission to various courses. Seats are also reserved in various professional courses.
NCC cadets are also eligible for grace marks under CBCS System. The Grace marks obtained by a student can be distributed to the End Semester Examination of the difference courses in a semester or among to semesters in an academic year as per the choice of the students. The students shall claim the grace mark with in six months after the end of the academic year
