The Department of Mathematics conducted a one day webinar on ‘Pi Day’ in connection with the National Pi day celebration on 14th March, 2022. The aim of the programme was to provide a platform for students to present their ideas in connection with the history of “Pi”.
The inaugural session started by 10.00 am. Welcome speech was delivered by Mr. Midhun S(Asst. Prof). The webinar was inaugurated by Dr. R. Sunilkumar , Principal, Sree Narayana College, Kollam. Ms. Kuleena Das., Head of the Department felicitated the function. Vote of Thanks was delivered by Ms. Aswathy S(Asst. Prof). Inaugural Session concluded at 10.30am.
The academic session started at 10.30 am with a video presentation of the students. Some of the students from Ist M.Sc. presented on various topics in Mathematics. Also poster presentations and still models were conducted for students of UG. The programme concluded at 1.00 pm. The programme was conducted in both offline mode.
More than 180 students participated in the programme. Students shared their experience and certificates were distributed among the students .
