MUN Club was constituted in September 2021 with the students and teacher representatives from all departments. MUN Impact, an International NGO agreed for partnership with Sree Narayana College, Kollam to work together for Sustainable Development Goals on a global platform. An orientation on MUN impact was organized by the club on 14/10/2021 at 6pm on Google platform. Lectures were given by Ms. Chandrasnata Mohanty, Deputy Secretary General-South Asia, MUN Impact and Ms. Haritha Hari, Diplomat, South Asia, MUN Impact. They explained about the working of MUN Impact and it’s various versions to meet the 17 SDGs. Students made queries that were answered by the MUN Impact representatives. 40-50 participants attended the meeting. On 6/11/2021, a workshop on Sustainable Development Goals were organzed by the MUN Club on Google platform from 10am to 12:30pm. Dr. R. Sunilkumar, Principal , SN College, Kollam inaugurated the programme. Dr. S V Manoj, IQAC Coordinator, SN College, Kollam felicitated the function. Ms. Khizran Fatima, Deputy Secretary General South Asia, MUN Impact delivered the Keynote address on the role of MUN Impact on SDGs. Presentation on each SDG was made by student representatives of each department. The programme closed at 12:30pm. During the month from January to March 2022, each department worked on one SDG and performed a task to achieve the various SDGs. The tasks were uploaded in the website of MUN Impact. On 10/4/2021, MUN Impact conducted Global week on Action on SDG16. Ms.
Jyothilekshmy Undergraduate student (2 nd yr) of BA Philosophy presented on the topic on the global platform. Photographs of each programme were taken and uploaded in the official site of MUN Impact. The MUN Impact has mentioned the programs conducted by Sree Narayana College, Kollam in their Global Report 2021-22.
