The Botany department has maintained well equipped College Herbarium (acronym SNCH), housed with 5035 voucher specimens belonging to 2137 species of flowering plants under 978 genera and 134 families, which are thoroughly arranged in 9 herbarium cabinets, based on Bentham & Hooker Classification system. The voucher specimens from Flora of Kollam & Flora of Pathanamthitta and Cyperaceae of Kerala were properly documented at SNCH.

Sree Narayana College Herbarium (SNCH) was started in 1949 and established in the 1980s. In 2023, the herbarium has been officially recognised by International Herbarium Index (IHI).  It is one of the largest academic herbariums in the colleges of Kerala. The specimens of lower plant groups such as algae, fungi, lichens, bryophytes, pteridophytes, gymnosperms, and plant pathology are also housed in wet/dry preservations. Under Botanical Information Service (BIS), an outreach programme of SNCH,  several researchers, including PG & PhD students working in various institutions of Kerala, are effectively utilizing the service (identification/authentication/specimen submission) of the College Herbarium.
