Research facilities are available for both full-time and part-time research. Eight of our P.G. departments are recognized research centers of the University of Kerala. Even though not research centers, five departments have recognized research guides in their faculty.
The following Departments are recognized Research Centers offering Ph.D. programmes.
Applications in the prescribed form are invited by the University twice a year, in June and December.
Only candidates who have qualified in the Entrance Test conducted by the University of Kerala or National Eligibility Test conducted by the UGC/CSIR or GATE or State Level Eligibility Test conducted by the Kerala Government or who possess M.Phil Degree by research in addition to a Masters Degree or its equivalent with not less than 55% marks will be considered eligible to apply for registration for Ph.D. (SC/ST 45% marks in Science, 40% marks in Arts and Commerce).
5% marks relaxation for the candidates with minimum 10 years of teaching experience. Teachers with 7 years of teaching experience are exempted from the Entrance Test.
The maximum number of candidates permitted to work under a research guide in the college is five. Teachers are allowed to do part-time research. Candidates shall send their applications to the Registrar, University of Kerala through the college.
